The UPF 50+ rating indicates 99+% of the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation is absorbed by the fabric (and not your skin). 

A UPF 50+ rating(highest) means that less than 1/50th of the UV radiation will go through the fabric. So, you will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure by over 50 times. 

UVA - Longest wave radiation. Low energy with deep impact. It won't burn but it will damage elasticity of your skin causing aging.

UVB - Short wave radiation. Packs a punch with high energy causing burns and more likely to cause cancer. 

 

This material is designed to pull moisture away from the skin by using a special weave that draws sweat and perspiration off of the skin and out to the exterior of the fabric.

 

The material is heavy with an ultra-lightweight feel. This means you don't feel any weight to the shirt until it's in one hand. 

The weave of this shirt allows air to pass through freely and therefore, once wet, dries very quickly. 

 

Stain release fabrics are treated with a finish that helps fight stains by temporarily allowing the stain to be absorbed into the fabric, but when washed, treatment allows hydrophobic fibers to absorb water, which releases the stain.
